Your privacy is not just a feature—it's our foundation.
🔒 We CANNOT see your files
🚫 We DO NOT collect any data
☁️ We DO NOT use any cloud storage
📱 Everything stays on YOUR device
File → Save is built on a fundamental principle: your files are yours alone. This privacy policy explains our commitment to absolute privacy and zero data collection.
Unlike other apps that claim to be private, we've designed File → Save from the ground up to be physically incapable of accessing your data. This isn't just a promise—it's how we built the app.
We don't collect anything. Specifically:
All your files are stored exclusively on your device. We have no servers, no cloud infrastructure, and no way to access your data remotely. Your files never leave your device unless you explicitly export them.
Every file is encrypted using ChaCha20-Poly1305, a encryption algorithm. Your passcode is never stored—it's used to derive an encryption key that only exists in your device's memory while the app is open.
Even if someone forced us to try to access your data (which has never happened), we couldn't. We don't have your encryption keys, we don't have access to your device, and we don't have any backdoors.
File → Save uses no third-party analytics, tracking, or data collection services. The only third-party integration is:
We don't use Google Analytics, Firebase, Crashlytics, or any other tracking service. Period.
File → Save works completely offline. The app only uses the network for:
The app includes network detection to alert you if you're connected to a network while using it, as an extra privacy measure. This detection happens locally and doesn't send any data anywhere.
Since we don't collect any data, traditional privacy rights like access, correction, and deletion don't apply—there's nothing to access, correct, or delete on our end.
You have complete control over your data:
We can't have a data breach because we don't have your data. Your files exist only on your device, encrypted with keys we don't possess.
Even if someone hacked our website (which contains no user data), or somehow accessed our development systems (which contain no user data), they would find... no user data.
We may update this privacy policy, but our core principle will never change: we don't collect your data. Any updates will be to clarify our practices or reflect new features that maintain our zero-data-collection approach.
Updates will be posted here with a new "Last Updated" date.

Remember: We can't help you recover lost passwords or files because we don't have access to them. With great privacy comes great responsibility.
